This immaculately maintained mountain biking facility in Gravenhurst has everything you could ever dream of, and then some. No matter the day, the trails at Buckwallow are always in top form thanks to the tireless efforts of Mike McLaughlin and his team. The trails here are primarily rocky, but not the kind of rocks you avoid. Instead the entire trailbed may be a single rock formation for as far as the eye can see, creating incredible and technical riding that you may never have experienced elsewhere.
At Buckwallow, the trails are suited for all rider levels which is why we use this facility as a home-base for our Skills Boot Camps. No matter your technical skill level, something at Buckwallow will challenge the pants off of you. By the time we leave, you will be a better rider. Our guided rides here always turn into a mini private skills camp where you can learn to master some of the sweet obstacles this place has to offer.
We have put together the following recommendations to give you a little guidance towards bike selection. Also, we understand that some people may have different mountain bicycle configurations, such as a single-speed or a fully-rigid and in those cases we ask that you contact us and make us aware of the bicycle type you intend to ride so that we can better advise you of your options. Again, if you have any doubts or questions feel free to reach out – we’ll be glad to help!
