Ontario’s Lake Country which is conveniently located about one hour north of Toronto is one of the most picturesque regions in Ontario. It is filled with beautiful lakes, rolling hills, and long snaking waterways. In this major Ontario Resort Region, there are many fantastic four season recreation and getaway opportunities. The world class Casino Rama Hotel and Entertainment Centre is just around the corner from beautiful Orillia, where visitors can discover boutique shopping, showcase theatre, top-notch dining, and many historical sites.
Encompassing five primary areas, Orillia, Oro-Medonte, Rama, Ramara and Severn, Ontario’s Lake Country is a year round tourism destination. There is so much to do, you will want to spend the weekend up here! It is also no surprise that many city dwellers get the urge to stay up here once they experience it. The road cycling here is superb with sanctioned cycling routes, less traffic and wonderful views of everything that makes Ontario a 4 season paradise.
